How can we help?

Everything about finding tables, booking, membership and your account - in one place.

01

Getting started

What is Primetable?

Primetable brings you each week's cancellations at London's best restaurants, so you can book a prime-time table this week instead of months in advance. When a great table comes back, it lands on Primetable, and you book it direct with the restaurant.

Which restaurants does Primetable cover?

Only London's best, nothing else: every restaurant holds a Michelin star or a Bib Gourmand, or a place in the Time Out or Condé Nast Traveller Top 50. The list is re-checked against those guides every day, and you can browse the full live list inside the app at any time.

When do tables actually appear?

Mostly prime-time evenings - Thursday, Friday and Saturday. These short-notice tables exist because in-demand restaurants take holding fees, so guests who can't make it tend to cancel around 48 hours out, freeing the table for you.

Is Primetable London-only?

Yes - for now. We're focused on getting London's best tables right before expanding to other cities.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Primetable runs in your browser. For one-tap access you can "Add to Home Screen" - it then behaves like an app, with no app-store download needed.

02

Finding & booking

How do I book a table?

Browse the live availability, tap the time slot you want, and it opens on the restaurant's own booking system (OpenTable, SevenRooms, Tock or Google Reserve) in a new tab. You confirm the reservation there - Primetable points you to the opening, the restaurant completes the booking.

Why did a table vanish when I tapped it?

Availability is live. If a table disappears when you tap it, someone just took it. It isn't a bug; prime-time tables move fast, which is exactly why it pays to book the moment you see one.

Do you hold the table or take my card?

No. Primetable never holds tables or takes payment for a booking. Any deposit, card hold or cancellation fee belongs to the restaurant and is handled entirely on their booking system.

How does ranking work?

Your list is ordered to surface the best first: the top picks of the night, then your saved favourites, then everything else that's currently available.

What party sizes can I book?

Most prime-time cancellations are for tables of 2-4. You can filter by party size, and we'll only show openings that fit.

How do I turn on alerts?

Save restaurants to your favourites, then switch on a Weekly Roundup or Daily Favourites digest in Alerts. We'll tell you when your saved restaurants free up prime-time tables.

03

Membership, trial & billing

What does it cost, and what's the trial?

Every membership starts with a 7-day free trial. After that it's £4.99/month. You can cancel anytime.

When exactly am I charged?

Your first charge happens at the end of your 7-day free trial - not when you sign up. We email a reminder around three days before, and your exact next-charge date is always shown in your Account. Cancel before the trial ends and you're never charged.

How do I cancel?

Go to Account -> Manage subscription and cancel in one tap. There's no cancellation fee, and your access continues until the end of the period you've already paid for.

What's your refund policy?

If you cancel during the free trial you're never charged. After billing starts, your membership runs to the end of the current period rather than being refunded pro-rata. For anything unusual, contact support and we'll help - full terms are in our Terms of Service.

How do I update my card or get invoices?

Account -> Manage subscription opens our secure Stripe customer portal, where you can update your payment card and download past invoices anytime.

"Membership full" - what does that mean?

Membership is capped at 2,000 members so availability stays genuinely useful. When the cap is reached, new sign-ups join a waitlist and we'll let you know the moment a place opens up.

How do referrals work?

Invite a friend with your referral code. When their first membership payment clears, you both get a free month - credited automatically.

04

Account & sign-in

How do I sign in?

Primetable is passwordless. Enter your phone number or email and we send a one-time code - type it in and you're in. No password to remember or reset.

"This phone number is already linked to another account"

That number is registered to a different account. Fix it by signing in with that number instead (request a code to it), or sign in with the email on your current account and update the number under Account -> details. Still stuck? Contact support and we'll merge or free up the number.

How do I change my name, email, phone or devices?

Open Account, edit your name, email or phone inline, and manage the devices signed in to your account. Changes to your contact details take effect immediately.

Cancel subscription vs delete account - what's the difference?

Cancelling your subscription stops future billing but keeps your account, favourites and access until the period ends. Deleting your account is permanent and immediate - it cancels billing straight away and erases your data. Choose cancel if you may return; delete only if you want everything removed.

Notifications

What notifications can I get, and where do I set them?

You can receive alerts by SMS, email or push. Choose which channels and which digests (Weekly Roundup / Daily Favourites) you want in Alerts, and add or verify your phone and email there.

How do I stop notifications?

Turn any channel off in Alerts, or use the unsubscribe link at the foot of any email. You can pause everything and still browse availability manually whenever you like.

Why am I not getting alerts?

Check that you've saved at least one favourite, that the channel is switched on in Alerts, and that your phone/email is verified. Also confirm a digest type is enabled - alerts only cover your saved restaurants' prime-time openings, not every table.
